Casimer Ostrowski was born on 4 January 1828 at Windorp, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia.2 He was the son of Johann Stanislaus Ostrowski and Magdalena Prodzinska.3,2 Casimer Ostrowski was baptized on 6 January 1828 at Lesno, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia.2 He married Rosalia Czapiewska on 22 August 1852 at Czapiewice, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia.4 Casimer and Rosalia emigrated on 19 April 1869 aboard the Louise Kohn having departed from Hamburg, Germany. Also listed on the passenger list was, Marianna, Franz, Alexander Mathias, Frances and Maximilian Joseph. The ship arrived at the Port of Quebec. From there the family continued on and arrived at the Port of Milwaukee around June 1869.5,6,7 Casimer Ostrowski and Rosalia Czapiewska appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Town of Sharon, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 21 June 1870, reporting the family had real estate with a value of $2000 and personal property of $268. Their children Frances, Maximilian Joseph, Marianna, Franz, Alexander Mathias and Leon were listed as living with them.8 In 1872 Casimer is listed as paying taxes in Town 25 of Sharon.9 On November 4, 1872 Casimer appeared before the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Portage County and filed papers declaring his intention to become a citizen of the United States. He "made oath" that he emigrated to the United States and landed at the port of Milwaukee on or about June 1869.6 Casimer Ostrowski and Rosalia Czapiewska appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Town of Sharon, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 15 June 1880, Casimer is listed as a farmer. Their children Alexander Mathias, Frances, Maximilian Joseph, Leon, Theodore, Teofila and Anton were listed as living with them.10 Casimer Ostrowski died on 28 February 1898 at Town of Sharon, Portage Co, WI, at age 70.11,12 He was buried on 3 March 1898 at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Polonia, Portage Co, WI.11

Clayton Kayetan Ostrowski, 72, 901 2nd St., died early this morning in St. Michael's Hospital, where he had been a patient the past four months. Mr. Ostrowski, in ill health a number of years, had been hospitalized several times. Born Aug. 6, 1895, in the Town of Sharon, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ostrowski. As a youth, he was employed in Chicago by the Eastman Kodak Co. and in a private photography studio. He entered service in 1918, serving overseas until his discharge from the Army in 1919. Then he returned to Chicago for nine years before coming to Stevens Point. Mr. Ostrowski bought the Konopacki Studios and operated a photography shop, Clayton's Studio, until 1945. He was also involved in the concrete silo construction business in the central Wisconsin area. On Oct. 9, 1935, he married the former Regina Kirschling at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. They settled in Stevens Point and have lived at the present address for the past 14 years. Besides his wife, Mr. Ostrowski is survived by one son, Leon, Midland, Mich; one daughter, Mrs. Jim R. (Marian) Falkavage, Route 4, Stevens Point; five grandchildren; two brothers, Michael, Sharon, and Walter, Milwaukee; two half-brothers, Alois Wiza, Junction City, and Alphonse Wiza, Sharon; and one half-sister, Mrs. Angeline Repinski, 1608 Franklin St. Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers and one daughter who died while a child. Funeral services for Mr. Ostrowski will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. At 7:30 p.m. Portage County Barracks 1782, Veterans of World War I, of which Mr. Ostrowski was a member, will conduct a ritual. Mrs. Frances Kruzicki, 73, widow of John Kruzicki, a former well known town of Stockton farmer, died Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at St. Michael's hospital. She had been ill for the past four months and entered the hospital nine weeks ago. Mrs. Kruzicki was born in Poland on November 25, 1865. At the age of four years she came to this country with her parents, Casimer and Rosalia Ostrowski, who located en Portage county. Her marriage to Mr. Kruzicki took place on January 25, 1887, at Sacred Heart church at Polonia. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm one mule north of Custer which they later sold and the located at the present farm home two and hon-half miles north of Arnott, on County Trunk J. Surviving are nine of her 10 children. They are Mrs. Anastasia Weisbrot, North Second Street, Mrs. Paul Turzinski of Bancroft, Mrs. Frank Klesmith and Martin Kruzicki of the town of Stockton, Frank Kruzicki of Milwaukee, Mrs. Emily Schmidt of West Bend, Anton Kruzicki, Briggs Street, Mrs. Ben Adamczak of Plover and Edward Kruzicki at home. A daughter, Mrs. Eugene Wysocki, died on January 11, 1937. She is also survived by a brother, Theodore Ostrowski of Wausau, 56 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Kruzicki was a member of the Rosary society of St. Mary's church at Fancher. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary's church at Fancher and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The body is at the Crosby funeral home and will be taken to the family home Sunday morning. The rosary will be said Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 o'clock at the home.
