Eleonora Paluszkiewicz was born on 11 April 1875 at Miedzyrzec Podlaski, Radzyn Podlaski, Lublin, Poland.2,3 She was the daughter of Martin Paluszkiewicz and Tecla Kieruczenko.1 Eleonora Paluszkiewicz emigrated on 29 May 1892 aboard the S. S. Rugia along with her parents Martin Paluszkiewicz and Tecla Kieruczenko, having departed from Hamburg, Germany. The ship arrived at the Port of New York on 13 Jun 1892. Their country of origin was listed as Bohemia with their last residence as Sedlicka (or possibly Sadlicka). Their intended destination was Chicago.4,5 Eleonora Paluszkiewicz married Leon Ostrowski, son of Casimer Ostrowski and Rosalia Czapiewska, on 29 January 1894 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia, Portage Co, WI.1 Eleonora Paluszkiewicz married Bernard Wiza in 1904.2

Mrs. Eleanore Wiza, 80, town of Sharon, died at 12:30 this morning at St. Michael's hospital. Mrs. Wiza, in poor health for four years and more seriously ill the past two months, entered the hospital Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Polonia, and burial will take place in the spring in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Wiza, the former Eleanore Paluskiewicz, was born in Poland on April 11, 1875, and came to this country with her parents when she was in her late teens. The family settled on a farm in the town of Alban. She was married to Leon Ostrowski on Feb. 11, 1894, at Sacred Heart church, Polonia, and the couple made their home on a farm in Sharon. Mr. Ostrowski died April 27, 1903, and his widow was married to Bernard Wiza in 1904 at Sacred Heart church. After her second marriage, she continued to live in Sharon. Mr. Wiza died May 30, 1955. Mrs. Wiza was a member of the Rosary society of Sacred Heart church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Angeline Repinski, 112 North Division street; eight sons, Clayton Ostrowski, 323 North Second street, Michael Ostrowski, on the homestead in Sharon, Walter, Anton and Stanley Ostrowski, Milwaukee, Martin Wiza, on the homestead in Sharon, Alois Wiza, town of Carson, and Alphonse Wiza, Sharon; a sister, Mrs. Marciana Bemowski, town of Hull; 25 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, a brother and three sisters preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Dzjkoski funeral home from Saturday evening until the day of the services. General rosaries will be said at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:15 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary society will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Monday.

Also listed on the passenger list was, Eleonora and Marie. The ship arrived at the Port of New York on 13 Jun 1892. Their country of origin was listed as Bohemia with their last residence as Sedlicka (or possibly Sadlicka). Their intended destination was Chicago.3,4 On October 24, 1892 Martin appeared before the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Portage County and filed papers declaring his intention to become a citizen of the United States.5
Martin Paluszkiewicz appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Town of Alban, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 13 June 1900, in the household of his son-in-law Theodore Ostrowski, husband of daughter Christina.2 Martin's Final Papers were filed and citizenship was grated on 27 Sep 1906 in Portage County.6 He died between 1906 and 1910.
