Roman Francis Chesney
Roman Francis Chesney, 73, 5293 Highway 66, a Stevens Point area plumber, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at St. Michael's Hospital.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Worzalla officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Chesney was born Sept. 18, 1927, a son of the late Eva Chesney. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
He entered the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge on July 23, 1954.
He was a master plumber in the Stevens Point area until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie (Basal) Powers, Wausau, and Carol (Gary) Schroeder, Wisconsin Rapids; four sons, Patrick, Fond du Lac, Jack, Wisconsin Rapids, Michael, Junction City, and Robert (Jean) and Roy, both of Stevens Point; seven grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildre.

Lillian (Lilly) Szczesny was born on 4 November 1886 at Town of Carson, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Michael Szczesny and Valarie Wilgolisz. Lillian (Lilly) Szczesny married John Aron on 15 November 1903. Lillian (Lilly) Szczesny died on 21 October 1957 at Wisconsin Rapids, Wood Co, WI, at age 70.

Funeral services were held this morning at the Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, for Mrs. Lilly Aron, 71, a former Portage county resident.
Mrs. Aron, of Route 3, Wisconsin Rapids, died Thursday at her home.
She was the former Lilly Szczesny, a native of the town of Carson. She was born Nov. 4. 1886, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mike Szczesny, and was married to John Aron on Nov 15, 1903
They moved to the Town of Dexter (Wood County) 17 years ago, Mr. Aron died July 3, 1956.
Mrs. Aron’s survivors include a brother, Joe Szczesny, Route 3, Stevens Point. There are also two other brothers, two daughters, eights sons, 32 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son, five sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
The Rev Richard McKoskey officiated at the funeral services today and burial followed in the Babcock Cemetery.
