     Frank Drefcinski was born on 9 March 1843 at Czersk, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia.^2,3,4 He was the son of Albert Drefcinski and Magdalena Radizinski.² Frank emigrated on 15 May 1867 aboard the Sir John Lawrence having departed from Hamburg, Germany. The ship arrived at the Port of New York on 25 Jun 1867.^5,4,6 He married Victoria Platta, daughter of Joseph Platta and Marianna Konopacka, on 22 May 1870 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.^7,8 Frank Drefcinski and Victoria Platta appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 10 June 1880, reporting the family lived on Meadow Street and that Frank was a Teamster. Their children Charles, Marcena and Frank were listed as living with them.⁹ Frank Drefcinski and Victoria Platta appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 15 June 1900, reporting the family lived at 700 6th Avenue. Their children Frank, Valentine, Anna, Johanna, John and Florence were listed as living with them.¹⁰ Frank Drefcinski and Victoria Platta appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 25 April 1910, reporting the family was living at 700 6th Avenue. Their children John and Florence were listed as living with them.¹¹ Frank Drefcinski was a carpenter at the time of his death.² He died on 9 July 1910 at 700 Sixth Avenue, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 67.^2,12 He was buried on 12 July 1910 at St. Peter's Cemetery, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.²

     Johanna Drefcinski was born on 24 October 1884 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.^2,3 She was the daughter of Frank Drefcinski and Victoria Platta.³ Johanna Drefcinski appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI in the household of her parents, Frank Drefcinski and Victoria Platta.⁴ Johanna Drefcinski married Joseph Sweek, son of Joseph Cwik and Victoria Markiewicz, on 2 May 1904 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.⁵ Johanna Drefcinski and Joseph Sweek appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Town of Hull, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 5 May 1910. Their children Josephine Margret, Lloyd and Edmund were listed as living with them.⁶ Johanna Drefcinski and Joseph Sweek appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Town of Hull, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 6 January 1920, reporting the family owned their own home. Their children Josephine Margret, Lloyd, Edmund, Florence, Agnes and Bernice were listed as living with them.⁷ Johanna Drefcinski and Joseph Sweek appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Town of Hull, Portage Co, WI, enumerated 21 April 1930, reporting the family owned a radio and their home with a value of $4000. Their children Edmund, Florence, Agnes, Bernice and Irene were listed as living with them.⁸

     Mrs. Johanna Sweek, 73, died at 2:50 this morning at her home in the Town of Hull, following an illness of several years. She had returned home Sunday from St. Michael's Hospital, where she had been a patient for three and a half weeks. She was also hospitalized several other times in the last three years. Mrs. Sweek was the widow of Joseph Sweek, who died Dec. 24, 1949. She was born in Stevens Point on Oct. 24, 1884, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Drefcinski. As a girl, she attended St. Peter's Parochial School. Her marriage to Mr. Sweek took place at St. Peter's Catholic Church on May 2, 1902, and the couple settled at the present family home in Hull. Mrs. Sweek's husband was a Soo Line Railroad employe and a carpenter. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Peter's Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Julian (Josephine) Falkavage, Hull, Mrs. Henry (Florence) Maciejewski, 1311 College Ave., Mrs. Harold (Agnes) Pitt, Cloquet, Minn., Mrs. Leo (Bernice) Jakusz, Appleton, and Mrs. Buford (Irene) Jones, Chicago; two sons, Lloyd, Klamath Falls, Ore., and Edwin, Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. John Olbrantz, 829 N. 2nd St. A daughter, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Friday Morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic Church, and burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dzikoski Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Rosary Society will say the rosary there at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and a general rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
