Irene L. Wanserski Irene L. Wanserski, 85, formerly of 171 Washington Ave., Rosholt, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 8, 2007, at her residence at Oakridge Apartments on Sandpiper Drive in Stevens Point. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Monday until the services. The Rosholt American Legion Auxiliary will hold a ritual at 10 a.m. Monday at the church and the St. Adalbert Rosary Society will pray the rosary after the ritual. A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established. Shuda Family Funeral Service in Stevens Point is assisting the family. Condolences may be offered online at shudafuneral.com. She was married to Dennis Wanserski on Aug. 2, 1947, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. He died in 1987. She worked at Sentry Insurance until her retirement. After retirement, she and her husband traveled, volunteered for various community projects and were active in several service organizations. She volunteered at the meal site in Rosholt and worked the poll centers during elections. She moved to Oakridge in 2005. She was a member of the Rosholt American Legion Auxiliary and St. Adalbert's Rosary Society. Survivors include her four children, John (Gerri) Wanserski, Monona, Michael (Bev) Kearns, Appleton, Mary Killmeier, Tucson, Ariz., and Gary Wanserski, Colorado Springs, Colo; four brothers, Donald (Arlene) Malek, Rosholt, Jerry (Mary Ann) Malek, Greenfield, Richard (Roseann) Mallek, Atlanta, Ga; and Joseph (Linda) Malek Jr., Nekoosa; and seven grandchildren.
