Mrs. Mary Rutta, 79, 317 Matilda St., died Thursday evening in Milwaukee.
She apparently suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Mrs. Rutta, who lived with a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Skonieczny, was visiting another daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Lucille) Schwab, in Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic Church, and burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. The rosary will be said there Sunday night at 7:30.
Mrs. Rutta was born in Ohio on March 22, 1880. She was the former Mary Schultz.

The Rev. Richard Tomsyck was the celebrant fo a solemn requiem high mass Monday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church for the funeral of Mrs. Mary Rutta, 317 Matilda St.
Mrs. Rutta died last Thursday at Milwaukee. She was 79 years of age.
The Rev. Joseph Walijewski was deacon of the mass and the Rev. Anthony Krausa was subdeacon. Father Tomsyck officiated at burial services in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Six grandsons of Mrs. Rutta, Harry and Peter Laszewski Jr. and Richard, Norbert, Thomas and Eugene Rutta were pallbearers.

Benedykt M. Rutta, 85, 1800 Sherman Ave., Whiting, died early Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 22, 1993, at the Stevens Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He had been a resident there for 18 months and in failing health for two years.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at St Stephen Catholic Church. The Rev Dennis Lynch will officiate. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the Dzikowski/Pisarski Funeral Home. The Knights of Columbus, of which his some Donald (Pat) is a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rutta was born Feb. 16, 1908, in the town of Hull, a son of the late Mary and John Rutta Sr. He attended local schools.
He was married to the former Evelyn Hintz on May 7, 1934 a St Stanislaus Catholic Church. She died in July 1981
After the marriage, the couple settled in Milwaukee. They moved to Stevens Point in 1940.
Mr. Rutta was employed by Consolidated Paper-Wisconsin River Division for many year. He retired in 1967.
Survivors besides his some David include another son, Norbert (Vi) Whiting; one sister, Theresa Stanke, Snohomish, Wash., one brother, Jerome Rutta, Vacaville, Calif; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, five sisters and an infant daughter.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband and son, Jerome. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Hoxie (Erling) of Kirkland, Wash; son, Ron Stanke of East Wenatchee, Wash; nine grandchildren, Phil, Craig, Steve, Randy, Pat, Mike, Robb, Kathryn and Rhonda; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held with a burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, officiated by Deacon Robert Dolan of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

She married Anton 'Tony' Stanke in 1933, moved to California in 1939, where they lived in South San Francisco and Vallejo, before moving to Everett in 1943. She would then reside to Snohomish after her husband passed away. Theresa enjoyed growing a big garden with flowers, and loved animals. She had a gentle soul and kind spirit.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband; and son, Jerry.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Erling) Hoxie, of Kirkland, Washington; son, Ron Stanke, of East Wenatchee, Washington; nine grandchildren, Phil, Craig, Steve, Randy, Pat, Mike, Robb, Kathryn, and Rhonda; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at Evergreen Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, Everett.
