Russell on 4 April 1846 at St. Clair, St. Clair Co, MI.^5,6 On the marriage record in St. Clair Co., Michigan, James' surname is given as 'Curry.' An Intent to become a U.S. citizen, filed in Portage Co., Wisconsin, signed on October 7th, 1857 states James was born in Ireland, on or about the year 1821; that he emigrated in August, 1844; and landed at Port Huron (Michigan). James Corrigan died on 11 October 1880 at Amherst, Portage Co, WI; of Typhoid fever.⁷ He was buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Amherst, Portage Co, WI.⁸
