Richard 'Dick' G. Schneeberg, 75, of 1336 Briggs Court, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at St. Michael's Hospital surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 11, 1931, in Milladore to the late George and Anna (Kazda) Schneeberg. He attended North Wood County School and P.J. Jacobs High School. Richard entered the U.S. Army on Feb. 7, 1952, in Milwaukee. He was honorably discharged as a corporal on Jan. 14, 1954, at Fort Sheridan, Ill. He received the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.
Richard was married to Roseann Drapes on June 25, 1955, at St. Peter Catholic Church. She survives.
Before entering the service, Dick was employed by Consolidated Papers and Putney Electric. After his time in the service, he graduated from Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis in 1957. He co-owned with his father Radio Service Co. in Stevens Point until 1966. He then worked for Van Ert Electric for 27 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1170 since 1957. He enjoyed hunting, cooking, bowling and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Roseann; three son, Thomas (Renee) Schneeberg of Stevens Point, Kris (Maria) Schneeberg of New Ulm, Minn., and Scott (Lisa) Schneeberg of Stevens Point; two daughters, Linda (Lonny) Jacowski and Karla (Kelly) Amble, both of Plover; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean DiCicco of Stevens Point and Judy (Dave) Kulas of Plover; and two brothers, Dave (IlaMae) Schneeberg Hood River, Ore., and Mel (Carol) Schneeberg of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert 'Bobby' Jacowski.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Louis officiating. Burial in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and also from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the St. Faustina Room at St. Peter Church. The Knights of Columbus will combine with a general rosary at 6:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Richard G. Schneeberg
Richard 'Dick' G. Schneeberg, 75, of 1336 Briggs Court, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at St. Michael's Hospital surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 11, 1931, in Milladore to the late George and Anna (Kazda) Schneeberg. He attended North Wood County School and P.J. Jacobs High School.
