Neil L. Drabes, 70, 1791 Debra La., died Tuesday morning in a local hospital. He was born June 17, 1912 in Stevens Point to Alex and Beatrice Drabes. He married the former Margaret Wolf on Feb. 7, 1938 in Clintonville.
Mr. Drabes had been employed at Milprint, Inc. for 27 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Philip Church.
Survivors include his wife, one son and daughter-in-law, William N. and Donna Drabes, Sturgeon Bay; three grandchildren; Paul, Linda and Kathleen Drabes; one sister, Nina Dugan, Rosemead, Calif., two brothers, Norbert Drabes, Green Bay; Bert Drabes, Wausau; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1620 E. Mason St. from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and prior to the funeral on Friday. Prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday. Norbert C. Drabes , 85, Green Bay, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Feb. 18, 2001.

Norbert was born on Nov. 5, 1915, in Medford, Wis., to the late Alex and Beatrice (Steffeck) Drabes . On May 28, 1943, Norbert married Evelyn Fiebig in Kennan, Wis. and they lived happily together for over 50 years. Norbert was a truck driver for the Green Bay Soap Company until he retired in 1973. Emil A. Drapes, 86, 1548 Maria Drive, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at the Portage County Health Care Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The St. Peter Holy Name Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Drapes was born April 21, 1915, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Edward and Antoinette (Grabarkewicz) Drapes. He attended St. Peter School.

He was married to Martha Glaza on June 19, 1937, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek.

After the marriage, they settled in Stevens Point.

He worked for Consolidated Papers Inc., Stevens Point Division, for more than 34 years.

He was a member of St. Peter Holy Name Society and Catholic Order of Foresters St. John's Court 1807.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Patrick (Karel), Greenfield, LeRoy (Shirley), Stevens Point, James (Dawn), Plover, and David (Beth), Shorewood; one daughter, Shirley (Bob) Krentz, Fort Atkinson; four sisters, Theresa (Tom) Raabe, Wisconsin Rapids, and Roseann (Richard) Schneeberg, Carol (Don) Pieczynski and Joan Zaborowski, all of Stevens Point; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

     Stanley Drapes was born on 17 January 1918 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. He was the son of Edward Drapes and Mary Weisbrot. Stanley Drapes married Lucille Jurgella. Stanley Drapes died on 14 December 1993 at El Paso, TX, at age 75.

Stanley Drapes, 75, El Paso, Texas, a former Stevens Point resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1993.
Funeral services were held in El Paso with burial at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
Mr. Drapes was born Jan. 17, 1918, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Mary and Edward Drapes. He attended local schools. Mr. Drapes joined the Army serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired with the rank of major. He then worked at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; two sons, Michael and Vincent, both of El Paso; two daughters, Marsha Drapes, Scottsdale, Ariz. And Ellen Jane Cleghorn, Hawaii; two brothers, Ray, Milwaukee, and Emil, Stevens Point; five sisters, Teresa (Tom) Raabe, Wisconsin Rapids, and Roseanne (Richard) Schneeberg, Carol (Don) Pieczynski, Joan Zaborowski and Marie Drapes, all of Stevens Point.

Miss Drapes was preceded in death by her parents and two bothers.

Joan Drapes married James Zaborowski on 11 September 1965 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Joan Drapes died on 14 September 2001 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 58.

Joan M. Zaborowski

Joan M. Zaborowski, 58, 2732 Jefferson St., Stevens Point, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, at her home after a battle with cancer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with Deacon Hugh Walker officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the services. St. Stanislaus Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 10:15 a.m. Monday at the church. A memorial in her name will be established at a later date. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Zaborowski was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Weisbrot) Drapes. She graduated from Maria High School.

She was married to James Zaborowski on Sept. 11, 1965, in Stevens Point. He died June 15,1966.

She was employed at Sentry Insurance for more than 15 years. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Rosary Society and was active in St. Stanislaus Parish ministries.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa (Mark) Pozorski, Minneapolis, Minn; and three sisters, Terry (Dr. Tom) Raabe, Wisconsin Rapids, and Roseann (Richard) Schneeberg) and Carol (Don) Pieczynski, both of Stevens Point. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

     Richard Schneeberg was born on 11 June 1931 at Milladore, Wood Co, WI. He married Roseann Drapes, daughter of Edward Drapes and Mary Weisbrot, on 25 June 1955 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Richard Schneeberg died on 10 January 2007 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 75.

Richard G. Schneeberg

Richard 'Dick' G. Schneeberg, 75, of 1336 Briggs Court, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at St. Michael's Hospital surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born June 11, 1931, in Milladore to the late George and Anna (Kazda) Schneeberg. He attended North Wood County School and P.J. Jacobs High School. Richard entered the U.S. Army on Feb. 7, 1952, in Milwaukee. He was honorably discharged as a corporal on Jan. 14, 1954, at Fort Sheridan, Ill. He received the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.

Richard was married to Roseann Drapes on June 25, 1955, at St. Peter Catholic Church. She survives.

Before entering the service, Dick was employed by Consolidated Papers and Putney Electric. After his time in the service, he graduated from Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis in 1957. He co-owned with his father Radio Service Co. in Stevens Point until 1966. He then worked for Van Ert Electric for 27 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1170 since 1957. He enjoyed hunting, cooking, bowling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Roseann; three son, Thomas (Renee) Schneeberg of Stevens Point, Kris (Maria) Schneeberg of New Ulm, Minn., and Scott (Lisa) Schneeberg of Stevens Point; two daughters, Linda (Lonny) Jacowski and Karla (Kelly) Amble, both of Plover; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean DiCicco of Stevens Point and Judy (Dave) Kulas of Plover; and two brothers, Dave (IlaMae) Schneeberg Hood River, Ore., and Mel (Carol) Schneeberg of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert 'Bobby' Jacowski.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Louis officiating. Burial in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and also from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the St. Faustina Room at St. Peter Church. The Knights of Columbus will combine with a general rosary at 6:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
