Mrs. Sophie Hamerski, 81, 1300 Briggs St., died this morning at St. Michael's Hospital after becoming ill Wednesday.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Rev. Chester Osowski will officiate, and burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Shuda Funeral Chapel. St. Peter's Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Hamerski was born Oct. 27, 1903 in Torun, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Stoltz. She attended locat schools and was married to Paul Hamerski in 1925 at St. Bronislava's Catholic Church, Plover. They lived in Milwaukee until 1932, when they moved to the Plover area. He operated Hamerski Motors inStevens Point until they moved back to Milwaukee.
In Milwaukee, she worked at Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Hamerski died in 1959. She returned to Stevens Point in 1964. She lived at Hi-Rise Manor since 1977.
Mrs. Hamerski was a member of St. Peter's Rosary Society, St. Peter's Adult Choir and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marian) Wisniewski, South Milwaukee, a son, Alfred, Fullerton, Calif., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildred; and a sister, Tina Schauer, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

Tina (Stoltz) Schauer, 91, resident of the Lutheran Home, formerly of West Allis and the town of Dewey, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. at the Larsen Funeral Home, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin.
The Rev. Philip Reifenbert will officiate. Private internment will be held at a later date in the Arlington Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald H. Schauer.
Tina was born in the town of Dewey, the youngest of 11 children born to the late August and Frances (Lukowicz) Stoltz.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her four brothers and six sisters. They were Joseph, Alois, Martha Szews, Helen Schultz, Clara DeMares, Jennie Hamerski, Felix, Anton, Sophie Hamerski, and Rose Slowinski.
With her death she closes the door to another generation.

Stanley J. Stoltz, 83, of 3017 McCulloch St., died peacefully at his home like he always wanted to on Tuesday, July 27, 2004. He is now with his loving wife.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Alan Burkhardt will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Shuda Funeral Chapel and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the church. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be established in Stanley's name for the American Kidney and Heart Associations.
Stanley was born March 22, 1921, in Norrie to the late Joseph and Genevieve (Waldoch) Stoltz. He attended area schools. He was married to Erna Marquard on June 6, 1942, in Stevens Point. She died March 15, 1988. Stanley enlisted in the U.S. Army on Oct. 26, 1945, and served until he was honorably discharged on July 19, 1946. He then worked for the Soo Line Railroad for 26 years until his retirement in 1983. Stanley was an avid walleye fisherman and enjoyed camping at Lake Gogebic. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and watching baseball and football.
Stanley is survived by four sons, David (Kathy), William, Daniel and Ronald (Kathleen), all of Stevens Point; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harry Stoltz of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia and Suzanne; three brothers, Henry, Raymond and Bruno; and one sister, Lillian Knipple.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Golla, formerly of 133 2nd St N., were held this morning At Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. The Rev. Thaddeus Szczerbibki officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Golla, 92, died Sunday at Family Heritage Nursing Home, Wisconsin Rapids, where she had been a resident the past seven years. She had been ill the past month.
She was born April 19, 1885, in the town of Stockton, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Werowinski. She married Nick Landowski in 1902 at Sacred Heart Church. The farmed in the Town of Stockton until his death on Dec. 19, 1925
She married Joseph Stoltz in 1927 and they farmed in Portage County until his death on July 24, 1953.
In 1956 she moved to Stevens Point and married Frank Golla in 1957, at St. Casmir’s Catholic Church. He died on Oct. 12. 1976.
Surviving are two daughter; Mrs. Simon (Pearl) Dietenberger and Mrs. Hilbert (Ester) Schwartz, Hartford; five sons, Joseph Landowski, Amherst Junction, Adolph Landowski, Scandinavia, Henry Landowski, Milwaukee, Cyril Landowski, Milwaukee, and Harry Stoltz, Wisconsin Rapids; two step-sons, Bruno Stoltz, Hatley and Stanley Stoltz, 3017 McCulloch St; one sister , Mrs. Frances Garski, 1300 Briggs St., one brother Nufry Werowinski, 1531 Pine St., 42 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Leonard 'Tiny' Szews, age 63, Birnamwood, died Monday, March 23, 1987 at his residence. He was born January 18, 1924 in Hatley, the son of the late Frank and Martha (Stoltz) Szews. On June 18, 1955 he was united in marriage to Alvina Platta in Hatley. She survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 1 son, Christopher Szews; 2 daughters, Mary (Eric) Soderlund and Denise (Gary) Severson; 2 brothers, Norbert (Mary Jane) and Eugene (Donna) Szews and 1 sister, Alice (Florian) Zajackowski. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 brother, Chester and 1 sister, Cecelia Krajewski. Funeral services were held March 26, 1987 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. The Rev. Thomas Abraham officiated. Interment was in St. Florian Catholic Cemetery.

On June 18, 1955 he was united in marriage to Alvina Platta in Hatley. She survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 1 son, Christopher Szews; 2 daughters, Mary (Eric) Soderlund and Denise (Gary) Severson; 2 brothers, Norbert (Mary Jane) and Eugene (Donna) Szews and 1 sister, Alice (Florian) Zajackowski. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 brother, Chester and 1 sister, Cecelia Krajewski. Funeral services were held March 26, 1987 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. The Rev. Thomas Abraham officiated. Interment was in St. Florian Catholic Cemetery.

Auto Victim's Rites Set
The body of Paul Hamerski, 57, Milwaukee, will be brought to the Dzikoski Funeral Home Thursday for funeral services, to be held at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Bronislava's Catholic Church, Plover.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. The general rosary will be at 8 o'clock that evening.
Mr. Hamerski died in Milwaukee County Emergency Hospital Monday night from injuries received when struck near his home in Milwaukee July 10. His condition remained critical until his death.
He was born in the Town of Plover Feb. 24, 1902, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hamerski Sr. He attended St. Bronislava's School and lived at home until his marrike (sp.) in Milwaukee about 30 years ago to the former Sophie Stoltz.
The couple lived in Milwaukee a short time, and then moved to the Hamerski homestead in the Town of Plover. They lived there five years and then Mr. Hamerski joined his brother, Peter, of 304 Portage St., in operating the Point Service Garage at 234 N. 2nd St., He was associated with the Plymouth-Desoto agency for two years.
He had lived since in Milwaukee, having been employed recently in the maintenance department of Allis-Chalmers Mfg. Co.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Alfred, Lomita, Calif; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marian) Wisniewski, Milwaukee; four granddaughters; five brothers, John, Detroit, Mich; Frank and Henry, Milwaukee, Joseph, on the homestead, and Peter; and two sister, Mrs. Frank (Marth) Worzella, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gene (Anna) Brazelton, Chicago.
Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Hamerski's Funeral

The body of Paul Hamerski, 57, Milwaukee, will be brought to the Dzikoski Funeral Home Thursday for funeral services, to be held at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Bronislava's Catholic Church, Plover.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. The general rosary will be at 8 o'clock that evening.
Mr. Hamerski died in Milwaukee County Emergency Hospital Monday night from injuries received when struck near his home in Milwaukee July 10. His condition remained critical until his death.
He was born in the Town of Plover Feb. 24, 1902, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hamerski Sr. He attended St. Bronislava's School and lived at home until his marrike (sp.) in Milwaukee about 30 years ago to the former Sophie Stoltz.
The couple lived in Milwaukee a short time, and then moved to the Hamerski homestead in the Town of Plover. They lived there five years and then Mr. Hamerski joined his brother, Peter, of 304 Portage St., in operating the Point Service Garage at 234 N. 2nd St., He was associated with the Plymouth-Desoto agency for two years.
He had lived since in Milwaukee, having been employed recently in the maintenance department of Allis-Chalmers Mfg. Co.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Alfred, Lomita, Calif; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marian) Wisniewski, Milwaukee; four granddaughters; five brothers, John, Detroit, Mich; Frank and Henry, Milwaukee, Joseph, on the homestead, and Peter; and two sister, Mrs. Frank (Marth) Worzella, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gene (Anna) Brazelton, Chicago.
Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Hamerski's Funeral
Funeral services were held Friday morning at St. Bronislava's Catholic Church at Plover for Paul Hamerski, 57, of Milwaukee. The Rev. Francis Przybylski was celebrant of the requim mass and officiated at graveside rites in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Hamerski died Monday at Milwaukee of injuries sustained whenhe was struck by an auto while crossing a steet near his home on July 10.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Thomas Schultz, Donald, Edward and Frank Hemrski (sp.) Jr., Carl Stoltz and Clarence Worzella.
Friends and relatives attended from Lomita, Calif; Denver, Colo; Detroit, Mich; Chicago, Ill; from Milwaukee, Oconomowoc, Appleton, Birnamwood and Hatley, and from Stevens Point, Plover and other Portage County localities.
He was buried on 23 July 1959 at St. Bronislava's Cemetery, Plover, Portage Co, WI.

Frank A. Slowinski
M, b. 20 September 1907, d. 13 December 1999
Frank A. Slowinski was born on 20 September 1907. He married Rose J. Stoltz, daughter of Augustinus 'August' Johaan Stoltz and Frances Lukowicz, on 24 November 1931. Frank A. Slowinski died on 13 December 1999 at age 92.
