     Bernard Eiden was born in March 1888 at Town of New Hope, Portage Co, WI. He was the son of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt.

     Catherine (Katie) Eiden married Raymond Simonis. Catherine (Katie) Eiden was born on 24 May 1889 at Nelsonville, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt. Catherine (Katie) Eiden died on 21 November 1977 at International Falls, Koochiching Co, MN, at age 88.

Mrs. Catherine Simonis, 88
Mrs. Catherine Simonis, 88, a resident of Falls Nursing home for the last three years, died Monday morning at Falls Nursing home.
She was born on May 24, 1889 at Nelsonville, Wisconsin, and resided at Trail, Minnesota before coming to the Falls area.
Mrs. Simonis was active in the ladies Aid of St. Charles Catholic Church at Trail, and also the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Clifford Carlson (Evelyn) and Mrs. Mike Lucachick (Millie) of the Falls, Mrs. Russell Wold (Dorothy) of Ottumwa, Iowa and Mrs. Kenny Anderson (Sophie) of Perham, Minn., a son, Raymond Simonis of Glassgow, Mont., a sister, Mrs. Elmer Quarness of Crookston, and 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Church at Oklee, Minn. With the Rev. Fr. John Patnode celebrating the mass.
Burial will be held in the family plot of the Trail Cemetery.
The Petterson Funeral Home of Red Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Local arrangements were made by the Cudmore Funeral Home.

     Irene A Eiden was born on 22 September 1891 at Town of New Hope, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt. Irene A Eiden died on 1 April 1974 at Alameda, Alameda Co, CA, at age 82.

     Flora Eiden was born on 12 July 1893 at Amherst Junction, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt. Flora Eiden married Elmer O. Quarness on 5 June 1917 at Langdon, Cavalier Co, ND.

Flora Margaret Quarness, 91, of Crookston died early Monday morning at Riverview Hospital.
Funeral services are Scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston, with burial at Oakdale cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the Stenshoel Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
She was born in Amherst Junction, Wisconsin on July 12, 1893 to Peter and Margaret Smith Eiden. She moved with her family to Gully as a young girl and attended school there.
She married Elmer O. Quarness in Langdon, N.D. on June 5, 1917. The couple farmed near Hampden, N.D. in Caviler County until retiring in 1958. That year they moved to Crookston. He died on March 4, 1983.
She attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Survivors include one daughter, Mildred Nomland of Crookston; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Flora Eiden died on 22 October 1984 at Polk Co, MN, at age 91.

     Elias Eiden married Lylia A. (?) Elias Eiden was born in April 1897 at Town of New Hope, Portage Co, WI. He was the son of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt. Elias Eiden died on 24 August 1959 at Spokane, Spokane Co, WA, at age 62.

     Josephine Eiden was born on 24 February 1900 at Nelsonville, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt. Josephine Eiden died on 12 August 1973 at Fosston, Polk Co, MN, at age 73.

Miss Eiden, 73, of Trail dies
Miss Josephine Eiden, 73, of the Trail community died Sunday evening at the Hillcrest Nursing home, Red Falls, where she had been a resident since 1967.
Josephine Eiden was born Feb 4, 1900 at Nelsonville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Peter Eiden and Margaret Smith. In 1915 she moved to the Trail Community with her mother, and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Simonis of Trail, Mrs. Elmer (Flora) Quarness of Crookston and Mrs. Irene Hole of San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
The Liturgy of the Funeral will be offered for Josephine Eiden at 10 a.m. Wednesday from St. Charles Catholic Church, Trail, with Rev. Keough Patnode officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Petterson Funeral Home.
Relatives and friends may call at the Petterson Funeral Home, Oklee, This evening with recitation of prayers at 8:30 Tuesday evening from the funeral home at Oklee.

     Raymond John Eiden was born on 27 March 1888 at Town of New Hope, Portage Co, WI. He was the son of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt. Raymond John Eiden died on 24 October 1965 at MN at age 77.

     Lylia A. (?) married Elias Eiden, son of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt. Lylia A. (?) was born in 1902 at MN. She died on 19 August 1991 at Spokane, Spokane Co, WA.

     Maurice Eiden was born on 4 June 1923 at Eden, Polk Co, MN. He was the son of Elias Eiden and Lylia A. (?) Maurice Eiden died on 19 September 2002 at Vancouver, Clark Co, WA, at age 79.

     Peter Smith was born on 28 August 1838 at Rhinesfeldt, Germany. He was the son of John Schmidt. Peter Smith married Elizabeth Simonis, daughter of Matt Simonis, on 6 April 1863 at Polonia, Portage Co, WI. Peter Smith died on 28 April 1920 at Town of New Hope, Portage Co, WI, at age 81.

     Elizabeth Simonis was born on 20 May 1846 at PA.¹ She was the daughter of Matt Simonis.¹ Elizabeth Simonis married Peter Smith, son of John Schmidt, on 6 April 1863 at Polonia, Portage Co, WI. Elizabeth Simonis died on 10 September 1935 at Town of New Hope, Portage Co, WI, at age 89.¹ She was buried on 13 September 1935 at St. Martin's Cemetery, Ellis, Portage Co, WI.¹

     Elmer O. Quarness was born on 14 August 1895 at Trail, MN. He married Flora Eiden, daughter of Peter M. Eiden-Mitchen and Margaret May Schmitt, on 5 June 1917 at Langdon, Cavalier Co, ND. Elmer O. Quarness died on 4 March 1983 at Crookston, Polk Co, MN, at age 87.

     Gertrude Eiden was born in 1889 at Wisconsin Rapids, Wood Co, WI. She was the daughter of Nicholas Eiden and Mary Ann Mersch.

     Evelyn Simonis married Clifford Carlson. Evelyn Simonis was born on 28 March 1912 at WI. She was the daughter of Raymond Simonis and Catherine (Katie) Eiden. Evelyn Simonis died on 10 July 2001 at Koochiching Co, MN, at age 89.

     Mildred Ann (Millie) Simonis married Mike Lucachick. Mildred Ann (Millie) Simonis was born on 17 July 1914 at WI. She was the daughter of Raymond Simonis and Catherine (Katie) Eiden. Mildred Ann (Millie) Simonis died on 29 March 1997 at Koochiching Co, MN, at age 82.

     Mike Lucachick married Mildred Ann (Millie) Simonis, daughter of Raymond Simonis and Catherine (Katie) Eiden. Mike Lucachick was born on 20 March 1912 at MN. He died on 8 December 1998 at Koochiching Co, MN, at age 86.
