She flourished in Wausau for most of her life and created an intricate blend of family, church and community. She relied on her strong and gracious faith for guidance especially when she chose to begin a career in real estate late in life. A million-dollar producer - our mom could do anything.
Upon the death of her husband, Benedict Stachovak, she bravely decided to make her home in Appleton to be close to her daughters, Judi (Bill) Gault and Kay (Mark) Knuth, all of Appleton. Our mother taught us to love adventure, opportunity and history, and showed us how with her passion for learning. This gift was given to her beloved grandchildren who also survive: Jill Gault, Martha's Vineyard, Mass., Bradley Gault, Appleton, Parker and Kolby Knuth, at home. She is further survived by her dear sister, Elaine (Wilbur) Hahn, and many other relatives and wonderful friends, old and new, whom she cherished. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Marie Knuth; a brother, Arthur; sisters, Beatrice (Louis) De La Pasqua and Genevieve (Elmer) Bartelt.
The family is most grateful to Sharon Scott and Ann Carroll, the community of First United Methodist, as well as her P.E.O. sisters for their support, encouragement, and for being kind to our mother.
Our mother, our grandmother, our sister, our friend, taught us giving and kindness as she gave to all from the kindest heart. She taught us love, and was loved so well.

Our mother taught us to love adventure, opportunity, history, and showed us how, with her passion for learning. This gift was given to her beloved grandchildren who also survive: Jill Gault, Martha’s Vineyard, MA; Bradley Gault, Appleton; Parker and Kolby Knuth, at home. She is further survived by her dear sister, Elaine (Wilbur) Hahn; and many other relatives and wonderful friends, old and new, whom she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur; and sisters: Beatrice (Louis) De La Pasqua and Genevieve (Elmer) Bartelt.
The family is most grateful to Sharon Scott and Ann Carroll, the community of First United Methodist, as well as her P.E.O. sisters for their support, encouragement, and for being kind to our mother.
