     Frank F Fischer was born on 19 December 1912 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. He married Pearl Kabachinski, daughter of Martin (Archie) Kabachinski and Marie Maslowski, on 27 December 1941 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Frank F Fischer died on 28 November 1943 at age 30.

Frank Fischer, 31, Killed on German Soil

Message Received Saturday by his wife, Parents

Pfc. Frank F. Fischer, age 31, was killed on Nov. 28, according to a telegram received Saturday evening by his wife of Whiting and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Fischer of the town of Plover.
Private Fischer, who was with the Fourth infantry division, was last heard from in a letter dated Nov. 21 and a Christmas card to his wife dated Nov. 24, which she received Saturday morning. After being inducted into services on July 6, 1942, he spent four days at Fort Sheridan, Ill., before being sent to Fort Bragg, NC where he was stationed for 20 months with a field artillery unit. He was then transferred to Fort George K Meade, Md., where he received training for of four months. After a seven day furlough, the soldier was sent overseas in May. He was stationed in England for two months, then in France where he was transferred to the infantry division, and after that was in Belgium and later, Germany.
Private Fischer was born on Dec. 19, 1912 at the present farm home of his parents in Plover. He attend St. Branislawa’s parochial school in Plover and later was employed at the Malleable foundry in Waukesha, where he resided at the time of entering the service.
His marriage to Pearl Kabachinski took place on Dec. 27, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Rev. Henry J Her performed the ceremony. The couple’s only child and his mother will continue to reside with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A Tepp, Sr at Whiting.
Besides his parents, wife and son, are four brothers, Pvt Jon T Fischer, England, Anton in California, Leo of Racine and Joseph at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Barney Golla of Waukesha and Mrs. Vincent Firkus of Galloway.
