     Amanda May Giese was born on 3 May 1981. She was the daughter of Thomas Richard Giese and Cheryl Jean Albert. Amanda May Giese died on 23 June 2001 at age 20.

     Genevieve 'Gen' M. Feltz married Clarence Giese, son of Louis Giese and Margaret Eiden, on 22 May 1944 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Genevieve 'Gen' M. Feltz died on 4 January 2000 at Marshfield, Wood Co, WI.

Genevieve 'Gen' M. Giese

Genevieve 'Gen' M. Giese, 79, 2125 Prairie St., died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 4, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A funeral Mass will held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with the Rev. Dan Kozlowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The VFW Auxiliary will hold a ritual at 6:45 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Catholic Daughters of America will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name to St. Joseph's Pallative Care Unit in Marshfield would be appreciated.

Mrs. Giese was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Peter and Anastacia (Derezinski) Feltz. She attended local schools and graduated from Emerson High School in 1937.

She was married to Clarence F. Giese on May 22, 1944, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

After their marriage, they settled in Stevens Point and have lived at their present address the past 56 years. He died Sept. 26, 1974.

She was employed with the telephone company for many years and was also a waitress for the American Legion clubhouse for more than 26 years, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Jerem #1031, the VFW Auxiliary, the Knights of Columbus Monsignor McGinley Council 1170 Auxiliary and St. Elizabeth Court 879 of the National Catholic Society of Foresters.

She volunteered at the polls during election years for voting and at Portage County Health Care Center and River Pines Center.

Survivors include five sons, Gary (Mary), Amherst, and Rick, Bill, Bob and Jack, all of Stevens Point; one daughter, Debby (Jerry) Mayer, Wisconsin Rapids; three sisters, Evelyn Auble, Stevens Point, Irene Lepinski, Wisconsin Rapids, and Lorraine Kosloski, Junction City; and five grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and one grandson.
